Maker here. The short version: I wanted rank tracking that respects my inbox, so SerpCraft only sends email when a position actually changes — and it runs the first check the moment you add a keyword, so you see a number right away instead of an empty screen.
Two things I'd flag honestly:
1. We're brand new — no case studies yet, no reviews. Free plan exists so you can judge it yourself (3 keywords, no card).
2. The interesting engineering was the monitoring, not the tracking. My daily check failed silently for a full day, and the alert that was supposed to report the failure shared the same expired credential, so it failed too. Nothing told me. I now run a second worker that watches the first, and it records its own verdict — what heartbeat it saw, what it concluded, and whether the alert actually got a 2xx. "Tried to alert" and "alerted" turned out to be different things.

The whole product is one rule: we only email you when your position actually changes. No daily digest, no "your report is ready", no dashboard you have to remember to visit. Silence means nothing moved.
Two things I'd rather say up front than have you find out later:
- We only see the top 9-10 results. That's the depth of the search API on the free tier. If your domain is at #14, we will tell you "not in the top 10" — we will not guess a number we can't see. If a check comes back shallow, we stay quiet rather than send you a false "you dropped out".
- The free plan checks every 4 days, not daily. Daily checks crawl a keyword that almost never moves. If you need daily, that's the paid tiers.
