A while back I watched ChatGPT attribute a quote to N.T. Wright that Wright never wrote. It was confident. It was formatted like a real citation. It was completely invented.

Where I'd genuinely love your take: the hard problem turned out not to be retrieval — it's disagreement. When two credible scholars contradict each other on a passage, should the tool present both and stay silent, or surface the disagreement itself as the finding? I've rewritten that logic three times and I'm still not sure. Curious what you'd want as a user.
