Filmlinks
Wikipedia rabbit holes, but for movie credits
Search any movie, series or person and watch a living network unfold — directors, cast and source authors appear as connected nodes. Click anyone to branch into their works and keep pulling the thread. Free, no sign-up.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I built Filmlinks because of a habit I couldn't shake: finishing a film, looking up one actor, and suddenly it's 2am and I have fifteen tabs open.
Filmlinks turns that rabbit hole into a map. Search any film, show, or person — the director, main cast, and even the original author appear as connected nodes. Click anyone and the map branches into their other works. It never ends, in the best way.
A few details:
🧵 The graph is live — every node is clickable, and the map keeps growing as you explore
📚 Source authors are first-class nodes, so you can jump from a movie to the novel it came from, and on to other adaptations
⚡ Free, no sign-up, runs in your browser (data via TMDB)
I'd love to hear where your first thread takes you — and what connections you'd want to see next (composers? cinematographers?). Ask me anything!

Who hunted Filmlinks?
Filmlinks was hunted by Umeki Kazumichi. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
