I built Zesume around a problem I kept seeing with AI resume tools: they can make a resume sound more polished, but they can also make an unsupported achievement sound completely believable.
Zesume is designed to rewrite the experience you actually provide rather than manufacture new evidence. The current resume remains the primary source, and missing metrics should become suggestions instead of invented percentages, rankings, or performance claims.
The current workflow lets you:
Paste a resume or upload a TXT/DOCX file
Target software engineering, quant, finance, or general roles
Choose a resume structure separately from the career target
Switch between professional, concise, and technical tones
Review missing-information notes and warnings
Export the result as TXT or DOCX
Try the core rewriter without creating an account
Paid plans add features such as custom DOCX template analysis, saved history, and optional career memory. Uploaded templates are treated as structural references rather than sources of facts.
The product is built with Next.js and deployed on Cloudflare Workers through OpenNext. It uses structured AI output so the application can validate and render the response instead of accepting arbitrary text.
Zesume is still early. PDF support and a full visual editor are not available yet, and users should always review generated content before submitting a resume.
I would love feedback on the rewriting quality, whether the fact-preservation approach feels clear, and where the workflow could be simpler.
Reworked my old resume for a SWE role in under a minute and the bullet points actually sounded like me, just tighter. Free tier without sign-up is a nice touch for a quick polish before applying.
honestly looks useful for quick tailoring, but a PDF export option would be huge since most ATS systems seem to prefer PDFs over DOCX. could you add that?
