WINSCOUT finds overlooked money and useful opportunities in information you choose to connect — refunds, credits, subscriptions, renewals, warranties, deadlines and more. It’s read-only by default, free to discover WINS, and deliberately designed to prefer finding nothing over inventing a saving.
Hi Product Hunt — I’m Craig, the maker of WINSCOUT.
I built it around a simple question:
What money or useful value do we already have, but fail to notice?
Most finance tools focus on helping people earn more or spend less. WINSCOUT looks for things that may already exist in everyday life — refunds, credits, duplicate payments, forgotten subscriptions, renewals, warranty dates, deadlines and similar opportunities.
The hardest part turned out not to be finding things. It was not inventing things.
An early version once saw an email mentioning “renewal” and “credits” and incorrectly treated it as a paid subscription. That led to a rule that now shapes the whole product:
finding nothing is better than inventing a saving.
So the current version is deliberately conservative. It is read-only, doesn’t move money or contact companies, preserves source evidence, avoids guessing ambiguous dates or currencies, and suppresses weak matches rather than presenting them as WINS.
The discovery side currently supports the UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland.
I’m launching WINSCOUT now because I want to see whether people find the underlying idea useful in real life: not another budgeting dashboard, but a layer that asks:
“What am I missing?”
Thanks for taking a look.

Who hunted WINSCOUT?
WINSCOUT was hunted by Craig Robinson. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
