Vynly
Free AI image detector. Honest about what it knows
Vynly Check tells you if an image is AI-generated using three explicit tiers, not one vague confidence score. Tier 1: Cryptographic metadata C2PA, SynthID, EXIF tags. Catches OpenAI, Adobe, Google, Microsoft. Tier 2: Visible watermarks Gemini sparkle, DALL-E rainbow, Firefly icon, Sora wordmark. Tier 3: Style heuristics shown in amber, explicitly flagged as a guess, not proof. Free. No signup. Public API included. → Try it: https://vynly.co/check → Public API docs: https://vynly.co/api/check
Founder here. Built this for Vynly's social-network upload pipeline
and realized it's way more useful standalone. Three tiers, honest
about which one each verdict comes from.
The thing I'm proudest of: when the metadata + watermark passes both
find nothing, the style-heuristic verdict is amber, not green. Users
SEE the confidence drop. No more single-score detectors lying with
high confidence.
AMA. Public API is open if any builders want to integrate the same
detector into their own tools.

Who hunted Vynly?
Vynly was hunted by Vova Lavrik. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
