Most people look up a word and forget it by tomorrow. Vocabi fixes that. Hover over any word while reading → translation appears. Click Save → goes to your dictionary. Open Flashcards → spaced repetition does the rest. → Works on any website → 10 languages supported → No account. Works offline. Private by default. Built for language learners who actually read.
Hey PH! 👋 I'm the maker of Vocabi.
The problem I kept running into: I'd look up a word while reading, understand it in context, close the tab — and never see it again.
Existing solutions felt like too much friction. Anki is powerful but separate. Language apps want you to leave your reading flow. Most browser extensions just translate without helping you remember.
So I built Vocabi around one idea: the best moment to save a word is exactly when you encounter it. And the best way to remember it is spaced repetition — automatically, from that same saved word.
A few things I'm especially proud of:
— Zero account required. Your vocabulary is yours, stored locally.
— Works on literally any website Chrome can open
— The extension itself is fully translated into all 10 supported languages, so non-English speakers can use it comfortably from day one
Would love your feedback — especially from language learners who read a lot online. What's missing? What would make this part of your daily flow?
Thanks for checking it out 🙏
I am a huge fan of the learning-language solutions!
Looking forward to more languages (Besides those 10) added to the portfolio. :)

Who hunted Vocabi?
Vocabi was hunted by Dmitriy Smagin. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
