I built Vitalens because of a plate of rice my best friend didn't finish.
We were at our usual spot — the kind of place where you don't look at the menu because you've ordered the same thing for years. Halfway through the meal, he pushed his plate aside. Still half full. I didn't say anything. But I noticed. That was the third time in a month.
He wasn't sick. He wasn't on a diet. He was just tired of himself. The weight had crept up quietly and somewhere along the way he stopped enjoying things he used to love — food, going out, showing up.
I went looking for an app that could help him. Every option I found felt like homework. He would've quit on day two.
