I’m the maker of VibeCursor — a small macOS app that makes your cursor feel a bit more… alive.
The idea came from a simple frustration: I spend most of my day on my Mac, but the cursor — something I look at constantly — always felt static and lifeless.
I started experimenting with subtle motion and trailing effects, just for fun. But then I noticed something interesting — when recording demos or quick videos, the cursor suddenly felt much more expressive and easier to follow.
That’s when it clicked: this isn’t just about aesthetics.
For creators and developers, especially those making tutorials, walkthroughs, or YouTube videos, small cursor details can make a big difference in clarity and overall feel.
VibeCursor is my attempt to turn that into a polished, lightweight tool — something that adds personality and delight to everyday work, while also making screen recordings more engaging.
