What if every task you kept postponing became a zombie that slowly walked towards you? It was the thought behind Undeadlines.
You create a task, a zombie appears. The deadline gets closer, the zombie gets closer. Finish the task and you get to kill it.
Somewhere along the way I also added weekly/monthly views, recurring tasks, different environments, stats, progression and a small bestiary.
I’m still not sure how far I should take the game side without making the actual task management annoying, so that’s probably the thing I’d most like feedback on.
This is the first public version. There are still rough edges, but I’d rather show it now than keep polishing it forever.

The zombie-distance framing is a genuinely fun way to make a deadline feel physical instead of just a date on a list. On the game-vs-productivity balance you're unsure about - I'd lean toward keeping the punishment side (the walking, the dread) but keeping the reward side light. The moment killing a zombie turns into a real progression grind (loot, XP curves, etc.) is usually the moment a task app stops being about the tasks. Right now it sounds like you're still on the right side of that line. Are the "different environments" purely cosmetic, or do they change how the zombies behave?
