Hey Product Hunt!
I’m Rajat, a CSE student and the creator of TypeWeb. I built TypeWeb to make typing practice simple, focused, and free. Instead of only taking random typing tests, you can practice specific keyboard rows and hand positions while tracking your WPM, accuracy, errors, and characters typed.
TypeWeb is still growing, and I’d love to hear your feedback. What feature should I add next?
Love that it lets you focus on specific keyboard rows without any signup nonsense — such a thoughtful UX choice for people who actually want to fix their weak keys instead of just blasting random paragraphs.
Finally something that doesn't force me to sign up before I can even try it. The row-specific practice mode is a nice touch, helped me focus on my weak left hand keys.
Honestly love that there's no signup wall, makes it super easy to just jump in and practice. One thing that would help me though is adding a custom text option so I can paste in my own paragraphs or code snippets to type out, kind of like Monkeytype does. Would make practice way more relevant for my actual work.
Love that it works without signing up, great for quick practice sessions. One thing that would really help me is a heatmap of which keys I miss most often, so I know exactly where to focus my next session instead of guessing.
the no-account thing is genuinely nice, keeps things frictionless. one thing i'd love is a way to import my own text passages for practice, like blog posts or code snippets, since typing the same generated sentences gets stale pretty fast and real-world text would be way more useful for building muscle memory.
honestly love that there's no signup, but it would be cool if you could add a small heatmap showing which keys you mess up most often, basically like a weak spot tracker after each session so you know where to focus next
Love that I can jump straight into a row-specific drill without signing up, and the live WPM and accuracy stats keep me honest. Simple, fast, no clutter.
love that you can jump straight into practicing without making an account, such a relief compared to most typing sites that gate everything behind a signup. the row-specific drills are a really thoughtful touch too.
Love that you can jump straight into practice without signing up. The row-by-row focus is such a smart way to build muscle memory instead of throwing random text at you.
Love that it breaks practice down by rows and hand position, super helpful for fixing bad habits. The no-account thing is a nice touch too, just opened it and started typing in seconds.
Love that I can jump right in without signing up. One thing that would help me stick with it is adding custom text practice where I can paste in my own passages like code snippets or essays so I can train on the content I actually type day to day.
Love that it runs without an account. The clean dashboard showing WPM, accuracy, and errors right on the home page makes it so easy to just jump in and start practicing without any friction.
