Why is booking an experience online full of friction, when food and stuff is so easy? Turns out it's not much better behind the scenes, with current tooling separated and convoluted. Triba. Booking software for adventure and experience operators. Customers book on your own site, in your brand, with no Triba logo. Payments, staffing and guide schedules in one place.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Matt, founder of Triba. Triba started with mountaineering companies. Their customers are booking once in lifetime trips, things like “Climb Everest”, but the booking step usually sends people off to a generic checkout carrying someone else’s logo. That’s the moment trust is easiest to lose. I was an engineer at Apple and these things would never stand. So we took everything we knew about user journeys and built it the other way around. Triba sits behind your experience instead of in front of it: 🏔 Your brand, not ours. One line of code adds the booking flow to your site and it's fully customisable with CSS. Customers never see Triba and always stay on your site, including a booking portal. 🧭 Everything behind the trip. Payments, group bookings, staffing, emails and post-trip questionnaires, with your public data available through a REST API, webhooks, CSV you really can build out any form of data analysis or your website with this. 📱 Belay, for guides. Guides set their availability, accept trips and get trip details that work offline, because mountains don’t have signal. It’s on Android now, with iOS coming soon. 💸 Simple pricing. 3% on bookings up to $1,500, then 0%. Simply put, the software doesn't do more if you charge more. We know the margins get thinner on the bigger trips, so we don't keep taking. We’ve been running at capacity with a waitlist, and we’re now opening up to more operators: guiding companies, adventure travel, retreats, anyone running real-world experiences. I’d love to hear from you: if you run experiences, what’s the most painful part of taking bookings today? And if you’re a guide, I’d really value your thoughts on Belay. Thanks for checking us out. https://triba.co

Who hunted Triba?

Triba was hunted by Matthew J Houghton. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
