Text Match
Newspaper-style text match cut videos, free in your browser
Type a word or phrase and Text Match turns it into a newspaper cut video: your phrase stays locked in place while the print around it cuts. 4 print styles, Google Fonts or your own, 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9, watermark-free 1080p. Free, no account.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Leo.
I kept wanting that "text match cut" look for my own videos: one word locked in place while newspaper text flashes around it. Doing it by hand in an editor was slow, so I built Text Match.
How it works:
1. Type your word or phrase. Every cut keeps it in the same position.
2. Pick a print style (Newspaper, Book, Magazine or Clean) and edit the headline, body text and colours.
3. Set format (9:16, 1:1 or 16:9), duration and cut speed, then preview.
4. Export a watermark-free 1080p video.
A few things I cared about:
• It's free. No account, no payment, no watermark, no ad wait.
• Editing and rendering happen in your browser. Nothing you write or upload is sent to a render server.
• Fonts: pick a Google Font or upload your own (as long as its licence allows embedding).
• Your draft is saved in your browser, and you can download a project file as a backup.
It's built for my workflow first, so I'd love to hear what you'd make with it and what's missing. Feature requests welcome!
