Hey Product Hunt!
I moved in with my girlfriend, and we quickly realized we were terrible at organizing life together. Mostly my fault, honestly. I kept forgetting stuff she told me to do, we'd lose track of events we had planned for the week, and finances became a touchy subject — we both thought we were spending more than the other, and there was no easy way to prove it.
I'm a comp-sci student and also work full-time as a software engineer, so I thought — why not build a solution myself? One app that covers task management, a shared calendar, and finances.
There were some apps on the market, but none covered all three. Splitwise is great, but it only does finances. Google Calendar is fine, but lacks the other two. I didn't want three apps — I wanted one.
After a few weeks of building, the first version of Tandem was born. You pair up with your partner, and from that moment, everything is shared — todos, calendar events, and expenses. Full transparency, zero guesswork. And it goes deeper than the basics: todo management has custom lists, the calendar supports different views, and the finances screen tracks expenses and shows who owes what.
This is my first published app, and it's completely free. My goal was to solve my own problem, and I did. Now I want to help other couples dealing with the same thing.
Over the past month, I've been collecting feedback from friends and early users. There's a feature request form built into the app, so if something's missing — let me know, and I'll build it.
