I built SystemRound because practising system design interviews alone is hard. You can read a hundred write-ups, but nobody tells you where your design would fail.
How it works: pick a real problem (URL shortener, chat, ticket booking, a RAG assistant…) and a level from Entry to Staff. You answer one step at a time, on a whiteboard and in short answers. Every step is graded like a real interviewer would: • it quotes the exact sentence that would fail, and explains why interviewers care • it asks one follow-up question on your weakest point • it links the lesson that fixes it, and lets you revise and re-check
At the end you get a result for each level, and a coach plans your next sessions around what you missed, up to your interview date.
Does the grading hold up? I asked Claude Opus 5.5 to test it against a popular alternative: the same 12 answers, 6 with a hidden mistake. SystemRound spotted 5 of the 6. The other spotted 3 and called 3 broken designs "great". Screenshots are in the gallery.
