Super Agent
A multi-model AI agent that runs on a 2014 PC, free.
Super Agent is a free, open-source AI assistant built for low-spec, offline environments. It features long-term memory, a self-improving skill library, document RAG, and a background job queue. No GPU, no paid APIs, just a 2014 PC and a dream.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Amir, a 16-year-old developer from Algeria. I built Super Agent because I wanted a capable AI assistant, but I was stuck with a 2014 PC, 4GB of RAM, and a budget of exactly $0.
So I built one that works for me.
Super Agent is a multi-model AI assistant that runs entirely on your own machine. It uses free APIs for its brain, but all the "smart" stuff—memory, skills, document search—happens locally on your CPU.
Here’s what makes it a bit different:
🧠 Real Memory: It remembers facts about you across different sessions.
📚 Document RAG: You can drag-and-drop PDFs and text files into the UI, and it can answer questions about them.
🛠️ Self-Improving Skills: When it solves a complex task, it saves the procedure as a "skill" to reuse later.
🏃 Background Jobs: Long tasks like transcribing a YouTube video run in a queue, so the UI never freezes.
It's built with Python, FastAPI, and LangChain, and it's all MIT licensed. You can check out the code and run it yourself on GitHub.
This is my first time launching on Product Hunt, and I'm here all day to answer any questions about the architecture, the tech, or what it's like to build AI on old hardware. Thanks for checking it out!
