Sublo
Translate Subtitles in real time and learn new languages
Sublo is a free Chrome extension that shows two subtitle languages at once on Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Amazon Prime and more. Translate subtitles into 30+ languages in real time. Making Streaming Services barrier-free, and turning them into Language Learning Tools.
Built this because I ran into the most annoying problem: wanted to watch a show that only had English subtitles available. My English is fine, but I kept missing stuff. jokes, wordplay, names and constantly pausing to look things up killed the whole vibe.
I'm actually learning Slovak right now, and the subtitle situation for Eastern European content is genuinely terrible. Most tools either only work on Netflix, require you to upload .srt files manually, or use Google Translate which... you know.
So I spent the last 2 months building Sublo. The idea is stupid simple: show two subtitle tracks at the same time: the original language + your language, powered by Gemini AI so the translations actually sound like sentences.
No account needed to try it, free tier gives you 10 min/day to see if it clicks.
Happy to answer any questions and if something's broken or a platform isn't working for you, just drop it here or shoot me a mail. Still very much in active development.

Sublo was hunted by Hannes. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
