I'm Ian, a recent civil engineering graduate from Kenya, and I built StudyAI to fix the problems I kept running into during my degree.
Engineering school meant hundreds of pages of dense lecture notes, structures and fluid mechanics problems that only made sense once someone drew the diagram, and past papers with no worked solutions. I'd spend hours just trying to understand a question before I could even start revising. I remember an example, the night before my Structural Analysis exam, I had three past papers and not one worked solution. And a lot of the study tools I found were built for someone else's exam system, not mine.
So I built the study assistant I wish I'd had:
📘 Notes with real diagrams and worked solutions. Type any topic or upload your lecture PDF, and get structured notes that explain step by step.
📝 A past-paper solver. Upload a past paper and it works through it question by question.
🎯 It follows your syllabus. KCSE, IGCSE, A-Levels, AP, or your university course code.
🧠 Quizzes, flashcards with spaced repetition, and short AI video lessons from the same notes.
📅 A study plan that counts down to your exam.
I built it alone, alongside a full-time internship, and students in many countries now use it every week.
It's free to start, with no card needed. I'd love your honest feedback: what's confusing, what's missing, and what would make you use it every day? I'll be here all day answering every comment.
Thank you for checking it out! 🙏

Who hunted StudyAI ?
StudyAI was hunted by Ian Waiguru. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
