Hey Product Hunt! I'm the maker of SpotiBlocker, a small Windows utility for Spotify desktop listeners who want a quieter ad break.
It watches for ads, mutes Spotify, and lets you choose what fills the gap: silence, a spoken alert, BBC headlines, NPR News Now, or a file from your computer. When music returns, it unmutes Spotify. The filler volume is matched approximately to your music, and the panel keeps a local count of muted ads.
A few details before you try it: this is Windows desktop only, ads still play while muted, and detection can get tracks without album metadata wrong. It runs at login until you choose Turn off. It's an independent project, with no Spotify sign-in required.
I'd love feedback on detection accuracy and the break-audio options. If you try it, which would you choose: silence, news, or your own audio?
