I built SplitBill after a group hiking trip in Svaneti, Georgia turned into an accounting nightmare: every dinner ended with someone photographing a crumpled Georgian-script paper receipt, typing 25 line items into a spreadsheet at midnight, or begging six people to download a separate bill-splitting app that now limits free users to 3 expenses a day.
