Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Conor, founder of Specc. I built this because I kept watching engineering teams build the wrong thing — not because of bad engineers or bad customers, but because the translation from customer language to engineering spec is broken and nobody owns it.
Specc sits between customer feedback and your sprint. Paste in a call transcript, support thread, or Slack dump, and three AI agents run in sequence:
Ingestion — structures messy feedback into a developer-ready ticket with problem statement, acceptance criteria, and priority signal
Ambiguity detection — flags every assumption that would cause an engineer to build the wrong thing before the sprint starts, with the exact question to ask to resolve it
Outcome tracking — after you ship, it tells you whether what you built actually solved the customer's problem
The ambiguity detection is the part I'm most proud of. It doesn't summarise feedback — it catches the specific thing that turns a customer conversation into a wasted sprint.
Free tier available with no card required. Would love brutal feedback from anyone who's ever shipped the wrong thing because a ticket was too vague.

Who hunted Specc?
Specc was hunted by conor naughton. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
