SoundScape Pilot
The self-hosted command center for indie labels & artists
SoundScape Pilot is a self-hosted command center for independent labels and working artists. One install runs the business side of a music career — radio promotion, booking, press, and touring — from your own machine. No subscription. No cloud holding your contacts hostage. Your data stays on your computer, because it's yours. It was built by a working Texas record label that got tired of running a label out of spreadsheets, inboxes, and sticky notes — and built the tool it actually needed.
Hey Product Hunt — I'm Ray. I run Redemption Road Music Group, an independent record label out of Abilene, Texas. I built SoundScape Pilot because I needed it.
Running an indie label means radio pitching on Monday, booking on Tuesday, press on Wednesday, and routing a tour on a napkin on Thursday — usually across six different tools, three spreadsheets, and an inbox that's on fire. So we built one command center that does the legwork: four autopilots for radio promotion, booking, PR, and touring, plus the engine room underneath (royalties, catalog, sync licensing, distribution, EPKs). It's self-hosted, which is non-negotiable for me — my artist relationships and my contact lists live on my machine, not on somebody else's server.
One thing I'm proud of before anybody asks: we tested this thing in the open. An independent sweep hit all 102 of its API routes before launch, found two crash bugs, and we fixed them, re-verified the sweep, and pushed the fix publicly (GitHub commit fe40545, if you want to check my work).
Pricing is simple because I hate subscriptions as much as you do: $497 one-time for a lifetime single-user license, $1,497 for a label license covering up to 10 machines. If the lump sum doesn't work, there's a 24-payment plan through PayPal — $25/month or $75/month, no interest — and then it's yours.
Straight talk: this is a brand-new product launching today. No users yet, no revenue story, no traction graph. What it has is a working tool built by people who do this job every day. If you're an independent artist, a small label, or a manager juggling too many hats, I'd genuinely like your feedback — what would this need to do for you to run your operation on it?
I'll be here all day answering questions myself. — Ray
