SoberStack
Sobriety tracking that doesn't erase your progress
SoberStack is a free sobriety tracker for iPhone. Track days away from alcohol, porn, vaping or anything else, and build good habits like a morning walk with one tap a day. When an urge hits, log it, see your why, and pick something to do instead. Mark the small behaviours that lead toward a slip and plan what to do after one. A slip doesn't wipe your history. No ads, no social feed. Connect Claude or ChatGPT to ask about your patterns.
I built SoberStack because the sobriety apps I tried either felt like generic habit trackers or wanted me to join a social network. What I needed was simpler: a day count that doesn't shame me when I slip, and a way to understand what pulls me back.
A few things it does that I couldn't find elsewhere:
🔁 A slip isn't a reset to zero. Your history graph keeps every attempt, so months of progress don't vanish. ✅ Build good habits too. Track a morning walk or meditation next to what you're quitting. One tap ticks off today, and missed days don't hide the weeks you kept it up. ⚡ When an urge hits: log it in two taps, read your why, and pick an activity to do instead. After a few weeks the journal shows your patterns: times, places, moods. 🚩 Risky behaviours. The small steps that come before a slip (staying up late, "just one look"). Logging them is one tap, and you see how often they're creeping in. 🧭 Your why, and an After a slip plan. Written by you, shown when you need them. 🎉 Milestones at 7, 30, 90 days and beyond, plus a Sunday recap of your week. 🤖 Connect your AI. Hook up Claude or ChatGPT and ask "what were my strongest urges last week, and what helped?"
It's free, with no ads and no social feed. There's an optional tip if you want to support it, but nothing is locked. Android is coming soon.
I'm also working on SoberStack Filter, a browser extension that hides triggering images and posts before you see them. More on that soon.
I'd love your feedback, especially from anyone in recovery or supporting someone who is. What would make this more useful?

SoberStack was hunted by Spencer Walden. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
