One critter in every row, column and color patch, and no two may touch. Every puzzle is checked by a solver that only uses human logic, so none needs a guess, and hints teach the technique. No ads, no lives. The daily and 100 levels are free for good.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Idan, and I made Snug alone. I love grid logic puzzles, but I kept hitting the same wall: two cells from the end, stuck, and the only way out was to guess. So I built a solver that only knows the deductions a person would make, and every puzzle in Snug has to pass it. If it can't finish a puzzle by logic, the puzzle never ships. The same solver grades difficulty and writes the hints, so a hint tells you why the next move works instead of filling it in. The rules: one critter in every row, column and color patch, and no two may touch, not even diagonally. A frog named Lily teaches them in about a minute. There's a new daily puzzle for everyone, and 300 levels. It's free with no ads and no lives: the daily, 100 levels and your streak are free for good. Snug Club is optional ($2.99 a month, $14.99 a year, or $29.99 once for life) and adds extra dailies, more levels and unlimited hints. AI disclosure: I built it with Claude, an AI coding assistant, which co-wrote the code with me. No image, video or music generators were used; the critters, map and icon are vector drawings rendered from code. I'd love to know if any step ever felt like a guess to you.

Who hunted Snug?

Snug was hunted by Idan Rokach. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
