I coach youth select baseball, and Slot'd exists because of my group chats. Every week: "who wants Saturday 9am for cage work?" — twenty replies, two people claiming the same spot, somebody's cousin showing up instead, and no-shows who never had a dime on the line. One thing that would make this a no-brainer for me is adding SMS reminders that go out automatically before the appointment, with an easy one-tap reschedule link if something changes. Last-minute no-shows are brutal for service pros, and a gentle nudge text usually solves most of it.
Tried it for my barber side gig and the slot link was live in under a minute, payment just worked. Wish I had this last month when I kept texting clients back and forth.
