I built SkinLattice because I kept watching people — including people close to me — spend hundreds of dollars cycling through skincare products, trying to figure out what was causing their breakouts, while every app they tried either gave them generic ingredient ratings or just asked them to journal blindly with no feedback. The core idea is simple: your skin is already telling you what works and what doesn't. You just need something smart enough to listen and pattern-match across your entire routine over time. That's what the Ingredient Matrix does. It's not pulling from a crowd-sourced database — it's built entirely from your check-ins, your products, and your reactions. If fragrance in a cleanser seems linked to your redness flare-ups but fragrance in your toner doesn't bother you, the Matrix will reflect that nuance. A few things I'm particularly proud of: It feels like a native Apple app because I cared deeply about that. No startup-dashboard vibes, no neon gradients. SF Pro, SF Symbols, calm grouped layouts — it belongs on your iPhone. The privacy model is non-negotiable. Everything stays on-device. No ads, ever. The language throughout avoids medical certainty — it says "may be linked to in your data," not "this ingredient is causing your acne." That distinction matters. It's free to start — you can log, track, and see basic per-product trends without paying anything. Pro unlocks the full Matrix, advanced insights, and export reports.
