Hi! Excited for you all to give Sidekick a try.
We started building this for ourselves ~2 months ago. At first, we just wanted a chat interface that we didn't need a mouse for.
Then, our friends started using it, we kept building powerful features, and now we are here :)
You can try it now at sidekick.dev
Send us /feedback if you have any issues or thoughts! (it texts us directly)

Looks very promising guys! Good luck! The video actually demonstrates something very similar to GitHub Copilot Chat. Could you tell how is Sidekick different?
The demand for engineering velocity is infinite. I support any team that lets us *accelerate*.
easiest way to dev with GPT. I’ve been using sidekick for the past couple of months and week by week my dev workflow is becoming more smooth and effortless
I've been beta testing this for months, and as a software engineer this is by far my most used AI product, even more than ChatGPT. My development workflow is SO much faster. No more copying and pasting code into ChatGPT for context. The fact I can attach files as easy as @mentioning someone in Slack is soo powerful. I also like that it shows me exactly how much of the context window I've taken up so I know when I need to start a fresh conversation with GPT in order to get the most accurate answers. Truly a power-prompters dream. 😍
I’ve been lucky to beta test this and I can’t imagine my workflow without it. Sidekick to the rescue!
Incredible launch, very excited to try this out!
Will share this with the team and see what ways we find to be more effective using this 🔥
Multi-tasking is such a cool UX pattern. Love that you guys sweat the details. Downloading now
This looks really cool! I'm excited to try it out in VSCode. The Terminal feature seems especially insane
Incredibly powerful product already + really excited to see what this team will do in the future!

Who hunted Sidekick?
Sidekick was hunted by Ben. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
