Built SAMCIO after years of sitting inside PE and VC diligence processes and realizing how fragmented the modern investment workflow had become.
Most firms today are juggling inboxes, CRMs nobody updates, scattered AI tools, Notion docs, spreadsheets, data rooms, and manual IC memo work. Everyone talks about AI for investing, but most teams are still stitching together workflows across 10 different products.
We wanted to build something different:
an AI-native operating system for investment firms.
SAMCIO acts like an AI Chief Investment Officer for emerging funds and deal teams:
• Auto-imports inbound deals
• Scores opportunities against your thesis
• Analyzes decks and data rooms
• Drafts IC memos
• Maps relationship intelligence
• Keeps institutional knowledge searchable and centralized
What surprised us most while building it was how quickly firms shifted from “this is interesting” to “we could actually run our process through this.”
The product evolved from a simple diligence assistant into a full decision-support layer for modern investment teams.
A big realization for us:
the future probably isn’t “AI tools inside VC firms.”
It’s VC firms operating through AI-native systems from day one.
Excited to finally share SAMCIO with the Product Hunt community
