Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I’m Shalom, the maker of Rift Code
As developers, we’ve all been there: you clone a new repo, and you’re immediately hit with thousands of lines of code. It takes days, sometimes weeks, just to understand how the frontend talks to the backend, or where the database schema fits in.
I built Rift to change that. I wanted a way to "see" code, not just read it.
What makes Rift different?
Instead of just looking at folders, Rift performs a recursive, multi-pass analysis of your GitHub repo. It automatically categorizes components into logical groups-Frontend, Backend, Infrastructure-and maps out the actual architectural relationships.
Key Features:
🗺️ Interactive Visual Mapping: A 3D/layered view of your entire system.
🧠 L4 Code Intelligence: Query your codebase using our vector cache to get instant insights.
🔌 MCP Integration: Connect Rift to your IDE so your AI agents actually understand the context they’re working in.
📄 Automated Tech Specs: Turn your repo into visual documentation in seconds.
We’re just getting started and I’d love to hear your feedback. How do you currently onboard onto new projects?
Can’t wait to hear what you think! 🚀
