My own version of this started as a custom Raycast AI Command. I would write a message, copy it, open Raycast, search for “Rephrase,” run it, then paste the result back. I used it constantly, but for something as small as fixing the tone of one sentence, it still felt like too many steps.
So I built Rephrase around one loop: Select text anywhere → press ⌃⌥R → choose a style → review the rewrite → press Enter to replace the selected text in the original app.
Love the keyboard-first workflow, switching between apps to rephrase always breaks my flow. One thing I'd really want is the ability to set custom presets with my own style examples so the rewrites actually match how I write, not just generic tones.

Select text, hit the shortcut, and the rewrite pops back in like it was always part of the app I was working in. Way less friction than swapping to a browser tab.
