Hi everyone! I built Rent Ledger Template after seeing how many landlords still track rent payments manually in spreadsheets or paper records. The goal was to create a simple tool that makes it easy to enter tenant and payment details, calculate a running balance, and generate a clean, printable rent ledger in minutes.
You can export the ledger to PDF, CSV, or Excel, and there’s no complicated setup. I’d love to hear your feedback, especially on additional fields, export options, or landlord features that would make the tool more useful.
Love that the running balance updates instantly as you type in payments, such a small thing but it makes filling out a whole year of entries way less painful. Clean PDF export too.
Would love to see automatic late fee calculations built in, like setting a grace period and daily late charge that updates the running balance when a payment is past due.
honestly this is a really handy little tool, generated a ledger in like two minutes and the running balance just worked without me having to double check the math.

A printable ledger is super useful, but it would be a lifesaver if the template could auto-calculate late fees based on a grace period I set per tenant. Right now I still have to track that manually and it gets messy around month end.
Honestly this saved me a ton of time, just plugged in a few months of rent and got a clean ledger with the running balance already done. PDF export works great.
Would love to see a way to track partial payments or split rent across multiple tenants on the same lease. Right now it looks like one tenant per ledger, but a lot of us rent rooms to several people, so having that flexibility would make this so much more useful.

Nice little tool. Plugged in a couple of payments and the running balance updated instantly, plus the PDF came out clean and ready to hand to a tenant.
Would love to see a late fee calculator built in, like you input the grace period and daily fee and it auto-applies to overdue balances on the ledger. Would save a lot of manual math for landlords tracking partial payments.
