RED MIST is a community and accountability platform for serious builders. Set missions, track weekly commitments, document proof of work, and find collaborators. We're building towards real-world Builders' Tables, starting in Cape Town, South Africa.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm the founder of RED MIST, and I built this because I had a problem with my own building journey.
I build almost every day. But I don't always distribute what I build.
I could spend weeks developing software, solving engineering problems and creating products, only to move on to another project without taking the previous one to its audience.
I realised I didn't need more motivation.
I needed accountability.
A system that would ask me every week:
• What did you commit to?
• What did you actually deliver?
• Where is your evidence?
• What will you build next?
That's why I started RED MIST.
We're building a platform where founders, developers, designers, researchers and creators can connect around real missions, measurable progress and proof of work.
But there's another part of the vision.
One day, while sitting at Somerset Mall in South Africa, I wondered:
What if an ordinary café table could become the starting point of a real company?
Imagine meeting three strangers with complementary skills, choosing a problem, opening your laptops and starting to build together.
That's the idea behind Builders' Tables - organised, permission-based, real-world building sessions.
Our initial community pilot goal is to approach 20 local cafés and coffee shops, work towards 20 approved building locations, and bring our first 20 builders together to collaborate.
RED MIST is still evolving, and we're testing the platform and its real-world community model.
We're starting in Cape Town, but our ambition is bigger.
I want RED MIST to become a place where people don't just talk about starting companies. They actually begin building them.
I'd love feedback from the Product Hunt community:
Would you use a platform that holds you accountable for what you build every week?
And would you attend a local building session with people you've never met, if it was properly organised around a real project?
