ProofSearch adds an independent trust layer on top of normal search results. It helps users judge links before clicking by showing trust scores, source signals, review context, Scam Aware warnings, and clear explanations for why a result looks stronger or weaker. It supports Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo, with a local-first approach focused on user control, transparency, and safer browsing.
Hey Product Hunt,
I built ProofSearch because modern web search feels faster than ever, but harder to trust.
AI summaries, SEO-heavy pages, affiliate articles, fake reviews, sponsored placements, copied content, and scammy sites have made it harder to know which results are actually worth clicking.
ProofSearch does not replace Google, Bing, or DuckDuckGo. It sits on top of them and adds an independent trust layer so users can see extra signals before opening a result.
It currently helps with:
* trust scores for search results
* explanations for why a result looks stronger or weaker
* Scam Aware warnings
* review and reputation signals
* ranked source views
* support for Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo
* local-first browsing control
The goal is simple: help people make faster, safer decisions before they click.
I’d really appreciate feedback on the scoring, the UI, and whether this kind of trust layer would fit into your own search workflow.

ProofSearch was hunted by Daniel Clift. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
