Prismtect
A glass prism that refracts the Milky Way into a rainbow
A small piece of interactive web art. A glass tetrahedron turns over a night sky; the Milky Way flows into it and leaves as a rainbow over a winter coast. Tap the glass and a two-digit number appears inside it, then fades. It means nothing; it's just yours. Real-time three.js glass with Snell's law at each face, a long-exposure-style sky computed per 3 px cell, drag to spin. Free beta, no sign-up, runs on phones.
I'm the maker. I wanted one quiet thing on the web you could open, tap, and close: a prism that bends the night sky into a rainbow and hands you a number. Making the sky look like a long exposure on a phone was the hard part; it now runs at about 57 fps on a Galaxy S21. I'm curious whether people come back to it. That's the whole experiment for now.
