10 years ago, Premiere cost me my dream client.
I was working an alimentary job day and night shift and editing online courses during the time off, trying to break into YouTube editing. I won a contract : a YouTuber with over 2 million subscribers. If I held onto it, my career was launched.
2 months in, I came home from a night shift, opened Premiere, and the project was gone. Corrupted. Nothing recoverable.
The client wouldn't wait any longer. I lost him. The career break disappeared with the file.
That day I switched entirely to Resolve. It was version 12 (ouch I feel old). I had to abandon every other project I'd ever made (about 50 of them) because I didn't know how to bring them with me.
10 years later, I built the tool that would have saved me. PR2XML.com converts old Premiere projects to Resolve. Now I can finally open all those files I left behind.
