I'm thrilled to share Pollsight with the community today.
Every election season I found myself dreading how long it took to figure out what candidates stood for. Even in local elections like Austin, ballots regularly exceed 50+ elections: dozens of judicial seats, appraisal district directors, school boards, and confusing propositions written in dense statutory legalese.
Most voters are forced to choose between spending 5 hours reading 100-page voter guides, or guessing randomly on whoever's name sounded coolest.
We built Pollsight to fix local election research using AI to summarize your issues based on the info they provide:
Instant Address Resolution: Put in your address, and Pollsight maps your exact precinct down to municipal boards in <1 second.
1–5 Policy Focus Gauges: Personalize candidate comparisons around your top priorities (Housing, Property Taxes, Transit, Clean Energy, Safety).
Summaries Tailored to Your Interests: We summarize information related to your specified interests, linking every bullet directly to relevant news articles, official roll-call votes, and campaign filings.
Proven Records vs Stances: We separate "What I've Voted On & Proved" (official roll-call votes and FEC filings) from "What My Stance Is" (campaign rhetoric).
Plain-English Ballot Measures: Confusing propositions are translated into neutral, balanced YES vs NO statements without partisan spin.
Privacy First: 100% free, zero ads, no account required, and your votes stay private on your device so you can reference them in the voting booth.

Pollsight was hunted by Evin Callahan. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
