Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Chase, the founder of PlanProvider.pro. After nearly a decade in retirement-plan sales and private consulting, I kept running into the same problem: valuable retirement-plan information is technically public, but painfully difficult and expensive to use. Tools already exist, but many feel only marginally easier than the government website—and the useful ones aren't cheap. The underlying data is also far more fragmented than most people realize. For a single filing year, data is scattered across as many as 41 separate downloadable tables covering the main forms and individual sections of Schedules. Building a historical view means joining multiple gigabytes of raw data across years, schedules, and inconsistent filings. I built PlanProvider.pro to turn that data into something people can actually use. Today, you can: 🔍 Search more than 140,000 employer retirement plans that file the full Form 5500—generally plans with 100+ participants 📊 Explore participants, assets, fees, contributions and filing history 🏢 See the advisors, auditors, recordkeepers and other providers serving a plan 📈 Compare plans against relevant Form 5500 benchmarks 🤝 Research and compare retirement-plan providers 🤖 Access sourced plan and provider intelligence from AI tools through MCP The MCP integration is the part I’m especially excited about. Instead of manually navigating filings and schedules, you can ask an AI agent about a company’s retirement plan and receive a structured answer linked to its PlanProvider.pro source. My goal is to build a transparent retirement-plan intelligence layer that works equally well for humans and AI agents. I’d genuinely value your feedback: 1. What would you expect to see when researching a company’s retirement plan? 2. Would you rather search the data directly or access it through an AI assistant? 3. What feels confusing, incomplete or unexpectedly useful? I’ll be here throughout the launch answering questions and learning from your feedback. Thanks for checking out PlanProvider.pro! 🚀 — Chase

Filtering 5500 filings down to a few usable filters is harder than it looks, and you nailed it by exposing sponsor, industry, and provider together on one screen.

One thing that would make this way more useful for me is the ability to export filtered plan lists as a CSV so I can plug the data into Excel or share it with a client without copy pasting every row.

It would be great if you added customizable alerts for plan changes, like when a sponsor switches providers or contribution rates shift significantly. That way I could track portfolio changes without manually rechecking the same plans each quarter.
