PhotoPare
Find duplicates, blurry shots & screenshots. All on-device.
Your camera roll has duplicates, blurry shots, and screenshots you forgot about. PhotoPare finds them on your phone and lets you delete them. Scanning is free. Deletion is a one-time $4.99. No subscription. Everything runs on-device. No uploads, no cloud, no tracking. Photos go to Recently Deleted, recoverable for 30 days.
Hi all,
I made PhotoPare because every photo cleaner I looked at wanted a subscription to delete my own duplicate screenshots. $4.99 a month. Forever. To remove photos I took. That's the part that bothered me.
PhotoPare is the alternative. Scan your library for free, see exactly how much space you'd reclaim, then pay $4.99 once to unlock deletion. No subscription.
Everything runs on-device. PhotoKit and Vision do the heavy lifting locally. No uploads, no analytics SDKs, no third parties touching your library.
It looks for three things.
Duplicates and near-duplicates. Perceptual hashing catches the same photo at different sizes or compression, not just exact file matches.
Blurry photos. The accidental shutter presses and shaky-hand misfires.
Old screenshots. Receipts, directions, memes you forgot about.
Deletes go to Recently Deleted and are recoverable for 30 days. Two confirms before anything moves.
Two things I'd genuinely like opinions on.
How accurate are the calls on your library? I tuned thresholds against my own photos and a few friends', but every camera roll is different.
Does a one-time $4.99 feel fair, or too cheap to take seriously? Most cleaners go for $4.99/month subscriptions, which I think is exploitative. I'm not sure how a flat price reads to people.
Also open to ideas on what else it should find. RAW dedup, Live Photo cleanup, and album sorting are all on the list.
Thanks for taking a look.
