Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Leszek, the maker of Permutis.
Most of us have things we no longer use and skills nobody ever asks for. The moment you put a price on them, you're selling, and haggling takes the fun out of passing things on. So Permutis has no price field. You create an offer (an item or a skill), swipe through what others offer, and when you both like each other's offers, it's a match. You agree on the details in chat. No money moves between users.
The idea comes from Kyle MacDonald's red paperclip, which became a house after 14 trades in 2005–06. Start small, trade up. Your first offer can be your paperclip.
What's new: version 0.2.8 went live on the App Store and Google Play on October 1, in 27 languages. One rule might surprise you: you can only start swiping once you've posted an offer yourself, so everyone brings something.
To be transparent: Permutis is free to use. There are optional paid upgrades for extra platform features, but a swap itself never costs anything.
