Top comment

#Pad was created from a very practical need. As someone who works every day with technology, architecture, and data engineering, I often deal with a lot of context: meeting notes, code snippets, TODO lists, reminders, ideas, and quick working notes. I needed a tool that would be fast, local, flexible, and wouldn’t force me into a rigid way of working. That’s why I created #Pad — an app that combines the simplicity of a classic notepad with features that are useful in everyday work: ✅ organizing notes with #-tags ✅ built-in TODOs and reminders ✅ advanced search, including regex ✅ working with regular text files ✅ support for large files ✅ operation and clipboard history ✅ Python plugins for more technical use cases ✅ versions for Windows and macOS

Who hunted #Pad?

#Pad was hunted by Arkadiusz Jachnik. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post.
