I’m Michael, the independent developer behind QuietWare.
I usually build macOS apps after running into some small frustration in my own Mac workflow and wondering whether I could create a solution.
After building several apps this way, I realized something: I was spending a lot of time thinking about what frustrates me about macOS while overlooking how many parts of the Mac experience are already genuinely useful, thoughtful, or enjoyable.
That realization became Our Mac Problems & Praises.
I’m not trying to replace existing Mac communities. I wanted to create a more focused place where the little details of using a Mac could be collected, discussed, and ranked together.
I’d especially appreciate feedback on:
• The submission experience
• The problems-and-praises format
• The voting and ranking system
• Whether the moderation approach feels reasonable
• Features that would make you return

Love the no-account approach for posting and browsing. One thing that would help a lot would be category filters, like sorting posts by hardware model, macOS version, or app-specific issues. That way people could quickly find feedback relevant to their exact setup instead of scrolling through everything mixed together.
