I'm excited to introduce **OnBoxTools**!
The idea came from a simple frustration: every time I needed to perform a small task—compress a PDF, convert an image, extract text, or merge files—I ended up visiting different websites. Many required sign-ups, added watermarks, limited free usage, or were filled with intrusive ads.
I wanted a single place where anyone could access useful online tools quickly, without unnecessary barriers.
That's how **OnBoxTools** was born.
The goal has always been simple:

Building the platform has been an iterative journey. I started with a few essential utilities, listened to feedback, improved performance and usability, and continued expanding the collection based on real-world needs. Every new tool is added with the same philosophy: solve a common problem in the simplest way possible.
This is just the beginning. I have many more tools and features planned, and your feedback will play a huge role in shaping what comes next.

Love that all of this runs locally in the browser with zero data leaving my machine. The fact that one site can neatly cover JSON, PDF, and unit converters without any signup or ads is a small miracle.
Ran a JSON formatter through it and it actually handled nested arrays without choking, which is more than I can say for a lot of these tools. The fact that everything runs locally is a nice bonus too.
Privacy-first browser tools hit different — no signup, nothing leaves your machine. Spent a few minutes with the JSON formatter and the unit converter, both were snappy and clean.
the breadth of tools all running locally in the browser is impressive, and i really appreciate the clear categorization so you can actually find what you need without hunting around. privacy as a default rather than an afterthought is a great call.
