I built Obstat because the best new AI apps land on GitHub every day, and most people can't try them. You hit a wall of Python versions, CUDA, npm errors and terminal commands before you see anything.
Obstat does that part for you:
Find an app. Browse apps we've reviewed and tested, or paste any GitHub link.
Try it safely first. Run a new repo in a sandbox before it touches your PC.
✅ Reviewed means reviewed. Every listed app is checked line by line and pinned to the exact version we tested, so an update can't sneak in something new.
Apps open inside Obstat. No browser tabs or stray windows, with one Stop button that really stops everything.
Your keys stay yours. API keys are encrypted on your PC and only given to the apps you pick. We can't see them.
Make your own. Describe an app in plain words and Obstat sets up Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI to build it. Got a command-line tool? "Build a UI" gives it a screen.
💬 Community. Chat, news and new-app alerts are built in.
It's inspired by Pinokio and runs Pinokio scripts, but it's built for people who'd rather not touch a terminal at all.
It's Windows only for now, free, and open source (https://github.com/divinadevosai...). I'd love to hear which apps you want us to add next, and what broke if something did.
