Nuo Tools
Free, private & secure - nothing leaves your browser
👋 Hey PH!
I'm sohan - I build tools solo, and Nuo Tools started because I was tired of bouncing between five different sites just to merge a PDF or format some JSON.
It's a free toolkit - 150+ tools across 19 categories (dev, PDF, finance calculators, writing, video/audio, and more) - and most tools run entirely in your browser, so your files and data never touch a server.
No sign-up, no paywalls, just open a tool and use it.
I'd genuinely love to know: what's a tool you use often but wish "just worked" without ads or an account wall? I'm around all day and reading every comment - happy to build it if it's a good fit.
The privacy angle is refreshing, actually no data leaves your browser is a bold promise and the layout makes it easy to find what you need. Tried the PDF merge tool and it worked instantly without any nag screens.
Love how quick and clean these tools are, especially since nothing leaves my browser. One thing I'd love to see is a command palette or keyboard shortcut to jump straight into any tool by typing its name, similar to how Alfred or Raycast work. Would make the 150+ tools way more accessible without having to dig through categories every time.
A keyboard shortcut launcher would be a huge quality of life improvement. Being able to hit something like cmd+k to quickly search and jump to any of the 150 tools without scrolling or clicking around categories would make this feel way more like a power user utility.
Love how clean and quick these are, no fuss at all. One thing I'd kill for is a shared favorites bar where I can pin the 5 or 6 tools I use most and have them sync across browsers without needing an account. Would save me digging through the category list every time.
Honestly kind of impressed with how snappy it is, popped open a few of the utilities and everything loaded instantly without any of that annoying signup wall. The privacy angle is a nice touch too.
love how simple this is and no signup is honestly huge. one thing that would make it even better, a keyboard shortcut overlay like pressing shift and question mark shows all the shortcuts for tools right now i have to guess or click around to find them
Love having a no-signup toolkit ready to go. One thing that would make it even better for me would be a way to chain two or three tools together into a quick workflow, like passing the output of the JSON formatter straight into the diff checker without having to copy and paste in between.
Love the no signup and privacy focus, that alone makes me bookmark it. One idea that would be huge: add a dark mode toggle in the header instead of just respecting system settings. A lot of us toggle dark/light throughout the day and it's awkward when a tool flashes white on load before snapping to dark.
Love that everything runs locally in the browser without sending data anywhere, makes it feel so much snappier than waiting on server roundtrips. The no-signup approach is a breath of fresh air too.
Love the privacy-first approach, especially the no signup part. One idea would be a favorites or recently used section so you don't have to scroll through 150 tools every time you need the same converter or word counter.
