I built Neat to answer one simple question: what's taking up all the space on my Mac? I wanted something tiny, fast, and respectful of your data — so that's what Neat is.
What Neat does:
- Scans any folder you pick and ranks files by size
- Quick templates: Big Files, Large Media, Old Downloads, Dev Cleanup, VMs, App Leftovers
- Quick Look preview, multi-select, move-to-Trash with confirmations
- Live progress, pause/resume, results cache
How Neat treats your data:
- Fully offline — zero network calls, no analytics, no account
- Only reads file metadata (name, size, type, date), never file contents
- Moves files to Trash with confirmation, never deletes permanently
