Nave writes the note, picks out key points and actions, and connects it to related notes. Come back days later to see what you added, what changed, and why you decided. Use your voice to update or move notes and reschedule tasks. Say a date and time for a reminder, and replay saved recordings to hear your original words. Built for iPhone by a maker who wanted to capture thoughts without maintaining a system of folders and tags.
I used Obsidian, Notion and Evernote, but kept wanting something simpler for my own thoughts. When an idea came, I wanted to get it down before I lost it. Later, I wanted to see what I'd added, what had changed, and what I'd decided. I didn't want to maintain a system of folders and tags to do that.
So I built Nave for myself. I sent it to a few friends, they found it useful too, and that's how it ended up on the App Store.
You speak a thought. Nave writes the note, gives it a title and summary, picks out the actions, and connects it to related notes. When you come back to the subject, the earlier thoughts are there with their dates and a summary of where things stand.
For example, you might be choosing a car: start with a shortlist, add impressions after each visit, change your mind, and eventually decide. Nave keeps those notes together so you can return to the decision and the reasons behind it.
Voice is also how you work with what you've already saved. You can tell Nave to add a detail, change a note, move it to another space, or reschedule a task. "Move the tiler to Monday" is one example. You can say several things in one request, and undo changes.
Say a date and time with a task and Nave can create a reminder. You choose whether it asks first or does this automatically. You can also replay saved recordings on your iPhone when you want to hear the thought in your own words.
That's what I wanted: to spend my time thinking about something, with less work keeping the notes in order.
Nave is for iPhone, free to start with an optional Pro plan. No account. Your notes are Markdown files you control. Keeping recordings is optional, and they stay on your iPhone.
Try it with a thought you expect to come back to. I'd like to hear whether the connections make sense, and whether the voice commands do what you meant.

Who hunted Nave?
Nave was hunted by Denys Vysochin. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
