I’m Vincent, founder of MySpec.
This started from a very real frustration.
A friend of mine was trying to build a product using AI coding tools. The idea was clear in his head, but every time he prompted the AI, the result was “close… but not usable.”
The AI could write code fast. But it kept guessing the product logic, missing edge cases, making wrong assumptions, and producing something that looked right on the surface but broke down in the details.
We realized the problem wasn’t just the AI.
The missing layer was the spec.
Most people are trying to go directly from a messy idea to production code. But AI coding agents need more than a prompt. They need structure, constraints, architecture, user flows, acceptance criteria, and implementation context.
So we built MySpec.
MySpec acts like a senior architect sitting with you at the very beginning of an idea.
Instead of asking you to write a perfect prompt, it interviews you. It pushes on scope, product behavior, edge cases, technical constraints, business rules, and real-world decisions that usually get skipped until much later.
Then it turns that conversation into a full Spec Bundle:
- `constitution.md` — core principles and project rules
- `requirements.md` — features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- `solution.md` — architecture, design decisions, data models, and flows
- `tasks.md` — a step-by-step implementation plan for AI coding tools
This is the context your coding agents actually need to stop guessing and start building correctly.
People in the software industry call this Spec-Driven Development. We call it Vibe Specifying.
The goal is simple:
