Most parental controls block content. My Digital Nanny listens for it. It monitors audio and messages across streaming apps and messaging apps — alerting you the moment something harmful is detected. Everything runs on your child's device, so no audio ever leaves the room. For older children who value their privacy, there's a middle-ground: they can keep message content private, but our AI still watches for warning signs and alerts you if something needs your attention. Trust, with a safety net

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Greg, a parent of four from the UK — and my kids have a big age gap between them. That's where the problem started. When you have teenagers and young children sharing the same household, streaming algorithms get confused. They see a mix of viewing habits and start serving up content that's fine for a 16-year-old but completely inappropriate for a 7-year-old. It never happened to us, but the worry was always there — and I couldn't find anything that would catch it if it did. Every app I tried focused on blocking and screen time. None of them could actually listen. So I built one that could. The second problem I found while researching was worse. The apps that did monitor messages had genuinely terrible reviews — not because they didn't work, but because parents could read their child's exact messages. Kids found out, trust was destroyed, and relationships were damaged. That's not a solution, that's a different problem. So I built an AI layer in between. You get alerted to the subject and the concern — but not the exact words or sentences that triggered it. You know something needs a conversation, without having read your child's private messages to get there. It protects the relationship. It also dramatically cuts false positives, because the AI understands context rather than just matching keywords. Would love any feedback, questions, or brutal honesty from anyone who's wrestled with the same problem. 🙏
