I’m Mohamed, and I built Monitra after discovering that one of my sites had been down for six hours—not through a monitoring tool, but through an email from a customer.
Most uptime monitors solve this problem, but they’re either priced for larger teams with procurement budgets, or their free tiers check so infrequently that you learn about an outage at roughly the same time as your customers.
Monitra is the boring, useful middle:
🔔 Alerts only when something changes
You’ll receive an email when a site goes down and another when it recovers. There’s no hourly nagging while it remains offline. Monitra also confirms outages with a retry before sending an alert, so a single blip doesn’t wake you up.
⏱️ Regular uptime checks
Every 5 minutes on Pro and every 30 minutes on Free.
🔎 Keyword monitoring
A 200 OK response doesn’t always mean the page is working. Give Monitra a keyword to look for, and if the page returns 200 without that keyword, it counts as down.
🔐 SSL expiry monitoring
Receive warnings 14, 7, and 1 day before a certificate expires.
📈 Response-time history
View response-time charts and receive a weekly uptime digest by email.
🌐 Public status pages
Each status page has an unguessable URL that you can safely share with customers.
🪝 Webhook alerts
Connect a Discord webhook to receive formatted messages, or point Monitra anywhere else to receive JSON.
