Meet MODO.
It’s an app I’m building to design websites and native app interfaces visually, with your files on your computer and code you can take with you.
After twenty years using creative tools, I had a few wishes. Somewhere along the way, those wishes turned into this project, and I’ve grown rather attached to it.
The idea behind it is simple: the work should feel like yours. You should have room to experiment, keep what you make, and give an idea a chance without another expensive subscription getting in the way.
Now I’d love your help with what comes next.
I’m working out how to open MODO to contributions on GitHub, inspired by the open-source approach of projects like #artcraft. I’d stay involved, reviewing contributions and looking after the app as it grows.
What I’d really love is a community around it: people sharing what they’re making, helping each other, and suggesting things I’d never have thought of alone.
